I.Welcome to Honeybee Healing

Updated: Sep 10

~ MY LITTLE SEEDLING. ~~

I am so happy you are here.

Honeybee is a creative platform that is being birthed as we meet, where ever you are. I started this journey as an avenue to assist in pain management for my 95 year old grandmother with dementia. Learning with the plant allies this past October -- products started forming themselves! So grab a cup of tea, find a comfy spot, and enjoy the divine spark of inspiration that cultivated this endeavor. I am excited to have a safe place to practice my skills (like writing!) ~~~

Rosemary was the first plant to come forward. Known as the compass weed. The one who points people in the right direction. She turned out to be the perfect herb for an oil infusion. Holding properties like improving cognition, boosting circulation, and enhancing remembrance. Somewhat of a call home. The longer the oil cures the more potent the properties available and can totally be used in cooking! This blend was created with the new moon eclipse portal in libra at the crossroads and continued to work for about 8 weeks through the ghostly veil and bottled with the archers full moon. A perfect adventure.

An invitation to dive within ~ If we walk along the pathway into the ancestral veil of scorpio, we will meet at the river styx. Overwhelmed by the rapid current and might of water separating the space between worlds. I was having difficulty forming communion outside of myself. Unwilling to lift up my veil and see what needed tending in order to tune the connection. It was through meditation I was brought not above nor outside but below and within.

“Remembering those long forgotten, buried beneath the surface. Thin veils or iron curtains”

Straight through my veil into the womb. A space I had never thought to occupy. Kind of like the inside an amber glass or the middle of an orange — how ever you wish to imagine it. I found a singular seed patiently waiting. I held the oracle, adjusted my gaze, and began.

Wax : a substance that is secreted by bees and is used by them for constructing the honeycomb.

The next step was to build structure. This was my first time learning the modality of wax, the great secret keeper. Although the craft is definitely not perfected. I managed to make one candle that is ready for the taking. A call to the money spirits and the keepers of the earth. In a repurposed milk glass with notes of cinnamon and vanilla. There is innocence and play poured into this vessel. She is sitting on the window sill soaking up the sun right next to my money tree sprout and a water pitcher that reminds me of the water bearer (Aquarius) . Energetically this candle collaborates with the elementals, spirits of moss covered rocks, and sacred springs. My most favorite part about this candle are the coins charging at the bottom. To give as an offering to the gnomes and faeries specifically.

Abundance Magick & TheWomb Elixir

ree

Birthed during a seemingly random spark of inspiration. The Rose Elixir continues the theme of abundance. The use of cinnamon, vanilla, pomegranate and apple connect to the Divine Mother. The elixir is potent with womb (creation) magick. Before knowing anything about what I was making my boyfriend said "that looks like a placenta in a jar" and I couldn't help but laugh because I 100% agree. Funny how things work out ~ I am so proud of this tincture. May she support, nourish, and revitalize whomever finds her.

Celebrating my solar return perched a top a moss covered waterfall. A surprise with my partner. We spent our time surrounded by the faeries, gnomes, and keepers. We walked throughout the property exploring the land, finding a stinky (sulfuric) cave, Laughing with the trees, giving thanks and offerings to those who call it home. Even spotting a bald eagle majestically soaring through the plane as rainbows dances in and out of the sky. It was the most beautiful way to open my home season and ring in all that is to come.

Can you see all the eyes peering back at you?
Can you see all the eyes peering back at you?

On a rainy Monday morning in December I took the train up to New York City for the day. I found my way to the upper east side of central park and met with Ashley River ~ A mystic who offers ceremonial tattoos ~ We first met on Feb 13th, 2023 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This time communing on the east coast we shared the afternoon drinking Mugwort, talking about plant allies, exchanging stories, and spilling secrets. For she is the first person to know about honeybee.

We stepped into a web together, co -creating. We meditated with the earth mother. Emerald filled the room as we opened our hearts to the medicine. I now possess a beautiful amulet I am continuing to integrate into my system. Ashley was in New York before taking a grand leap of faith. If you feel called please check out her website : ashleyriver.co

On, Tuesday December 12th I mixed together a batch of Florida water. I made in tune with seasonal herbs and spices like Pine, Oranges, and Clove. It wasn’t until I was giving the compost to the Holly tree in my backyard I realized the potency of the date. In numerology this day is considered a manifestation portal. It may ask you : What are your dreams? Desires? Visions? For me, The Queen of Wands came through heavily during prayer and asked me "Who do you wish to be?"

Dreamwork ::

Dreamwork is a huge method of communion. Dreaming has been used as a tool for many ancient civilizations to provide prophecy and vision. I have found that it is a common way for me to connect with my team. After the ceremonial day with Ashley. Santa Muerte came into my space as a sacred thread, forging the connection between me and others. Acting much like the red thread of fate. Now this is not my first time working with her. Please be mindful that her magick is powerful and she loves to show her might. I am incredibly blessed and honored to receive her medicine in my life. This dream was assisting me in threading the needle to further activate my role as the sacred weaver, the oracle, the mystic, the bridge, the honeybee.

That same week of my dream, Ashley released a news letter that spoke about the bee's ancient magic.  Below is an excerpt:

“ The bees came to Earth at the same time as flowers, working in unison to bring beauty and the nectar of the goddess to Earth. But the bee is far more than a pollinator of flowers. To the ancients, bees were powerful oracles, messengers, and prophecy keepers. At Delphi in Greece, the priestesses of the Pythia—the ancient oracles—were called Melissae, meaning “bees” in Greek. The Delphic Oracle herself was often called the Delphic Bee, and the complex at Delphi was said to be based on a beehive.

These bee priestesses of the ancient world were mystics who served their community through prophecy. They were wise visionaries who embodied the bridge between humanity and spirit. They listened to the whispers of the earth and sky, carried the hum of divine wisdom within their bodies, and shared their prophecies with those who came to seek them.

In the old ways, the bee was inseparable from the goddess—the Great Mother, the Queen of Heaven, who births the holy. Bees were considered sacred manifestations of fertility, creation, and life. The hive was a living temple, a reflection of harmony, reciprocity, and sacred labor of the feminine to birth the light into this world.

Awakening the wisdom of the bee means reclaiming our role as oracles, healers, and creators. It means embodying the sacred labor of the bee—tending to the fire of our souls, bringing harmony to the earth, pollinating our grandest prophecies, and watching our dreams bloom.”  ashleyriver.co

Thank you to the spirits of Justice for evening the scales.

As the year transitioned I was blessed with a number of righteous resolutions. Right as the sun was stationed in Capricorn bringing forth the sacred spindle. It was time to get to work.

Our Gregorian year finished with a dark moon as an energetic mirror. A blank slate, the perfect welcome into a year of 9. A year for closing out karmic cycles. So here I am. Stepping forward into purpose. Pursuing a craft. Learning that it is not just about having a key ~~It is having the key, forging the lock, and knowing when to walk through the gate.

My name is Melissa and my mother always called me her honeybee.

Thank you for being here to share this journey with me. I have a vision of what I hope to mold this into. For now I am focused on creating a secure root structure.

Blessed be the blanket of snow that surrounds me as I write this, a literal clean slate.
